A new experience of chocolate

Our mission is to revolutionise the chocolate world. In our hometown Sofia, Bulgaria, with all our passion and love – we took on the challenge of creating a chocolate, that is making a difference for our partners, for the environment and for our customers.

Our chocolates are 100% vegan, organic, gluten free and contain no refined sugar, yet are incredibly tasty. We use exceptionally high quality, fairly traded cacao beans from small farms in Nicaragua, Peru and Congo. We add superfoods and mix it all together for an irresistible healthy treat for body, mind and soul.

The certification of all organic standards, plus transparency in the supply chain, are a matter of course for us. Our Organic-certified producers of cacao, apply the ancient system of the permaculture in which cacao trees are planted among trees like mango, avocado and papaya. Thus the fine exotic fragrances of these trees are entwined in the rich and unique aroma of that extraordinary cacao. There is almost no bitterness and it has a delicate, well-balanced, exquisite taste.

Revolutionising the chocolate world

We see and experience chocolate as something that should spread happiness. And not only to us and our customers but to everybody involved in the process of creating it. At the beginning of this long way is the farmer who grows the ingredients, who has been exploited and forgotten so often in the past and even nowadays. There is no doubt that these hard-working people who make it possible for us to make chocolate for you deserve a decent and happy life. So we have made it our mission to carefully source our ingredients and especially support the cacao farmers we work with. Sustainable and ethical farming, as well as high quality, are our main criteria.

Depending on the flavour we want to achieve we source our cacao from different countries and cooperatives in Latin America: Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.


Have you ever seen the chocolate index – “can shed traces of milk”. There are plenty of companies that make both vegan and non-vegan chocolates. In Bio Benjamin we produce only vegan chocolate and absolutely every ingredient, that enters the production factory has plant origin.

Fair Cacao

We only use exceptionally high quality fairly traded cacao beans, grown in family-run farms in Nicaragua, Ecuador, Colombia and Peru. Thus we guarantee that the cacao beans are fairly grown and farmers are fairly paid.

Gluten Free

A gluten-free diet strictly excludes gluten, a mixture of proteins found in wheat and related grains, including barley, rye, oat and others. All our chocolate bars are entirely safe for people with gluten sensitivity.


To make a high-quality good tasting chocolate – high-quality ingredients are needed. That is why at Bio Benjamin we choose them very carefully with awareness and care. It is important to us that all people involved in the process of producing are happy and well paid.
